ANNE & GIL

KNOKKE, BE

2022

When Anne and Gil asked Kelly to do a surprise make-over of their new holiday home in Knokke, she did not hesitate one second.  The seaside apartment received the signature La Fabrika treatment: bold colour choices, mix’n’match materials and eye-catching accessories and furniture.

Even though there are many different colours and materials to be found, they work well together. Bold choices - the green sofa, the yellow stools, the red cabinet - are balanced by more neutral colours on the wall and the timeless wooden floor. We especially love the combination of the grass green Quilton with the baby blue built-in bookcase!

Different materials together offer a modern but cosy space. The wooden floors make for a warm base, contrasted by the plastic chairs, chrome lamps and red Ferm Living cabinet as sleek, cool additions. The lovely fabric of the sofa adds texture and warmth, emphasised by the soft beige-y hue on the wall and cupboard, and the buttery yellow accents in the kitchen area.

The geometric shapes on the wall in the dining area immediately draw attention. The neutral tones aren’t too harsh, while still adding an eye-catching visual centrepiece. The colours evoke the wooden tones of the floor and furniture, but also soften the vibrant hues of the sofa and stools.
