We replaced the traditional L-shaped kitchen with an open and luminous design. The marble-clad island takes centre stage, but is balanced nicely by the pale blue cabinet wall. Underneath the island, wooden cabinet doors add a dose of warmth to the space. We opted for a mix of terrazzo, oak, marble and lacquered surfaces. By mixing different materials and picking unexpected colours, the kitchen now has a playful yet elegant look.
